My Little Princess' Birthday

Yesterday, july the 27th was Frances' birthday. They (lola Armeda,lolo Rudy, Ante Cena,and playmates) happily celebrated Frances' 3rd birthday. They cooked "piknikpikan", adobo and macaroni salad. Wow! I miss that "pinikpikan" (Killing me softly )the Igorots' traditional way of cooking chicken. After a short prayer and singing songs of praise which was lead by Pastora was of course the CHIAO TIME!!! Frances was so happy entertaining her friends. The kiddos enjoyed eating ,singing at same time dancing...They were like oldies lol.. No wonder we couldn't hear my baby's voice over the phone. We sang her HAPPY BIRTHDAY..
How about us? My hubby and I cooked lechon! We like to prepare a lot of food but of course we are on diet so just that. But we had some wine, too para naman di napaka ordinary day heheeh. Remember it was my daughter's birthday.

Russian 'Satanists' jailed for ritual teen killings

MOSCOW—A court in Russia handed six self-styled Satanists jail sentences of up to 20 years Monday for ritually killing and then dismembering four teenagers in a forest.
The six -- who were all teenagers at the time of the crime -- reportedly also ate the body parts of their victims in a wooded area outside the city of Yaroslavl, northeast of Moscow.
The group were found guilty of "murdering four people with the aim of carrying out an initiation ritual into a sect and of desecrating the bodies of the dead," the Yaroslavl regional court said in a statement.
The group, four of whom were minors at the time, killed the four teenagers in June 2008, prosecutors said, the Interfax news agency reported. They then desecrated the bodies and stole their possessions.
The dismembered bodies of the teenagers were found buried in the forest in August that year.
The accused were found guilty of murder, while four were found guilty of desecrating the victims' bodies. The longest sentence of 20 years went to the man named as the group's leader, Nikolai Ogolobyak.
The members of the gang called themselves Satanists and earlier carried out animal sacrifices, Komsomolskaya Pravda daily reported, citing investigators.
They stabbed the victims and then dismembered their bodies and cooked and ate some body parts, Komsomolskaya Pravda reported.
The gang members included one woman, Ksenya Kovalyova, who was sentenced to eight years in jail.
Another member, Andrei Makovkin, nicknamed "Doctor Goth" was convicted of murder but pronounced insane and sentenced to compulsory psychiatric treatment.
He attended court with his dark shirt unbuttoned over a bare chest, with his hair hanging over his face, and was shown grabbing a microphone through the bars of his enclosure and throwing it on the ground.
The accused were shown hiding their faces with hoods as they went into the court, with one wearing a medical facemask.
"What they have carried out does not fit into normal human thinking, because it is horrific," a prosecutor, Tatyana Rachinskaya, said in televised comments after the sentencing.
Rufina Sorokina, a relative of victim Andrei Sorokin, a 17-year-old catering student, was shown on television holding a photograph of the teenager in a collared shirt, with neat dark curly hair.
"It seems to me that none of them have repented," she told Channel One television.
The court hearings were held behind closed doors due to the horrific nature of the crimes and because of the involvement of minors.

New Bread Design: You'll Be Hungry No More

Dismembered human body parts covered in blood are packaged like fresh food found in supermarkets. To achieve this authentically horrific aesthetic, Kittiwat spent a great deal of time studying anatomy and visiting forensic museums while at the same time working to improve the taste of his artworks.

“The first series was edible, but they were not delicious. And I don’t want art to just be an object of art; I want the audience to feel involved. I tried hard to make the artworks more and more flavorful,” says Kittiwat.

In 2008, Kittiwat baked fresh heads for the audience to eat at his Body and the Dead exhibition -- the tiny heads smelled and tasted fantastic -- though it was an odd sensation if you allowed yourself to look into their eyes before biting into them.

More recently, Kittiwat and his friend exhibited their sculptures and paintings in a show called Art Now at a clothing shop in Bangkok’s Siam Theatre in May this year, prior to the building being set alight during the city’s recent unrest.

“I want to experiment and think art shouldn’t only exist in galleries or museums. We got good feedback until the fire. The shop wasn’t in the burnt area but the smoke devastated most of our works.”

Cooking up more artworks

Kittiwat is now taking a break from his art and is working full time as a baker at his family’s factory in Ratchaburi, about an hour west of Bangkok.

“When my brother and sister passed away, I had to jump in and run the family’s bakery business. At first I thought I wouldn’t get to work on my art again. Surprisingly, every day when I bake, ideas keep coming to me on how to use dough to make art. My next works will not be related to the human body, I want to do something different. It will take me quite a long time before my next show, though,” he says.

In the meantime, don’t bother making the trip to Ratchaburi to buy a freshly baked severed head for your boss. The factory produces just ordinary bread, as Kittiwat is firm that his art is not for commercial purposes.

Fortunately, curious art appreciators can check out Kittiwat’s 2008 Body and the Dead exhibition, which has been resurrected for Bangkok’s Whitespace Retro show at Whitespace Gallery, on now until August 8. Also on show are exception pieces from 14 other artists, including Michael Chaowanasai, Top Changtrakul, Vasan Sitthiket and Maitree Siriboon. If you are in the mood for violence, check out the pieces by Pornpraset Yamazaki, which were painted with his own blood.

Little Tommy Has Improved

If you've got a son like Tommy, what will you do?

Little Tommy was doing very badly in math. His parents had tried everything; tutors, flash cards, special learning centers, in short, everything they could think of. Finally in a last ditch effort, they took Tommy down and enrolled him in the local Catholic School.

After the first day, little Tommy comes home with a very serious look on his face. He doesn't kiss his mother hello. Instead, he goes straight to his room and starts studying. Books & papers are spread out all over the room and little Tommy is hard at work. His mother is amazed. She calls him down to dinner and to her shock, the minute he is done he marches back to his room without a word and in no time he is back hitting the books as hard as before.

This goes on for sometime, day after day while the mother tries to understand what made all the difference. Finally, little Tommy brings home his report card. He quietly lays it on the table and goes up to his room and hits the books.

With great trepidation, his Mom looks at it and to her surprise; little Tommy got an A in math. She can no longer hold her curiosity. She goes to his room and says: "Son, what was it? Was it the nuns?" Little Tommy looks at her and shakes his head. "Well then," she replies, "was it the books, the discipline, the structure, the uniforms, WHAT was it?"

Little Tommy looks at her and says, "Well, on the first day of school, when I saw that guy nailed to the plus sign, I knew they weren't fooling around."

MR.KOKO'S BAD DAY !

I have something to tell today. chismis.
An intriguing instance that ignited Mr. Koko's hypertension to reach beyond the mercury limit... made my day.

One evening,he was told to be observed in his teaching the next day. As he is notorious in school to be the laziest instructor, the principal expected him to do good during the observation. Mr. koko prpepared for the endeavor. He had his lesson plan edited by me and which I found to be his best... in my standard, at least.

His awaited day came....Mr. Koko was at his best attire, best mood and ideas running in his mind. He was ready to show his best.... Three Thai English teachers were assigned to see him teach Grade 5/3 and make evaluation thereafter....

10..9..8..7..6..5..4..3..2..1. It's show time .......Opssssss! Where are the three thai teachers to observe Mr. Koko???? Was there something wrong???But as it was scheduled for Mr.Koko to teach in grade 5/3 ,he then did teach without the observers...(dont know where they have gone..were they lost??)..The lesson went well..
Now it's the third period..It was now the Grade 1 students time to study English with Mr. Koko.Upon entering the room, he noticed three heads in the room ,too.They were not students for sure..heheh the missing links....As Mr. Koko didn't like to discuss anything with them.(why,where abouts )He forgot about the missing links observing . (Why were they there anyway.WRONG TIME!!WRONG PLACE!!!)

Mr. Koko didnt bother and went through with his style of teaching.One hour of perseverance came to an end. The three teachers wrote their comments and left the book for Mr. KOko to see. So, Mr Koko at his good mind look at the evaluation sheet. OMG! He couldn't believe it!!!Mr .Koko boiled!!He's got a tomato face!!ready to give his lesson plan to that said teacher to improve it better as it was commented NEEDS TO IMPROVE... Most of the comments were rated as NEEDS TO IMPROVE!!!!OMG its so insulting.. or...Did that thai teacher really know or understand what she had commented on?But it's impossible the evaluation was written in Thai..all she had to do was to rate, check the column...( the rating followed this Excellent-- Good --Need to improve)
HELP!!!
